It is always better to keep spices in glass jars as they are more airtight and keep spices fresh for a longer period of time. Flavor and taste of your spices keep intact as it does not leach toxins.
Plastic is not an ideal choice to store spices as sometime oils in the spices blend with plastic and can react with certain spices, and be stained. Some plastic containers leach toxins, into the items stored in them and it can give spices the taste of plastic, especially in warm or cold environments. Plastic storage containers don’t provide an airtight seal. Plastic is porous and allows air to leak into the food container and also they are prone to warping and melting.
